Join HEN, Galls, and Nassau for Long Island Training Day, a full day of hands-on fireground training focused on live burn fire training, aggressive interior attack, and hoseline advancement techniques.
Designed for firefighters who want to sharpen their skills and strengthen fireground performance, this training brings together neighboring departments for realistic scenarios, practical instruction, and collaborative learning in a live fire environment.
Throughout the day, participants will engage in classroom discussion, live burn evolutions, and hands-on training designed to improve interior operations, crew coordination, and fireground decision-making. Every evolution is built around practical techniques firefighters can immediately apply back at their own departments.

9:30 AM - 2:30 PM Live Fire Training
Live Fire Training Stations
Throughout the day, participants will rotate through instructor-led stations focused on practical fireground skills and modern engine company operations.

Master Stream Fire Attack: From Transitional to Interior Operations
Modern Nozzle Operations: Stream Application & Hydraulic Ventilation

Training Partners

Health & Safety

Participation Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
Must hold Firefighter I (FF1) certification
Must be an active member in good standing with a fire department
Must bring and wear full PPE, including SCBA, for all hands-on activities
Those who do not meet the participation requirements may attend only as observers.
