Two days. Live fire. Hands-on training. Join HEN and Dinges Fire in Rocky Mount for flashover training Friday evening followed by a full Saturday of stabilization, fire behavior, thermal imaging, flowing and moving, nozzle control, and vehicle extrication.

About the event
Join HEN and Dinges Fire for a two-day training event combining live-fire instruction, vehicle stabilization and extrication, thermal imaging, fire behavior, and engine company operations.
Friday evening begins with dedicated flashover training. Saturday expands into multiple hands-on stations where firefighters will work through vehicle stabilization, live fire and thermal imaging, attack-line advancement and nozzle control, and extrication scenarios.

Stabilization Pit: Learn foundational vehicle stabilization techniques, the "Quick 6" approach to MVAs, and stabilization strategies using JYD equipment.
Flashover, Fire Behavior & Thermal Imaging: Experience live-fire conditions while examining fire development, heat signatures, visual cues, and TIC application.
Flow, Move & Take Control: Practice flowing the appropriate GPM while advancing an attack line and managing nozzle reaction.
Extrication Scenarios: Rotate through hands-on scenarios using AMKUS rescue tools.

HEN, Bullard, AMKUS, 3M Scott, FAST, LION, IDEX, Kuriyama, ESI-JYD, Groves Ready Rack, Streamlight, and Vanguard.
Registration is required and closes 72 hours prior to the event. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Space is limited, and events often reach capacity, so reserve your spot early. For registration questions, please contact Alex Cummings at alex.cummings@hennozzles.com.

Health & Safety

Participation Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
Must hold Firefighter I (FF1) certification
Must be an active member in good standing with a fire department
Must bring and wear full PPE, including SCBA, for all hands-on activities
Those who do not meet the participation requirements may attend only as observers.
