About the event
Join HEN and Dinges Fire for a hands-on training day centered on modern fireground operations and practical skill development.
Firefighters will rotate through four stations covering thermal imaging, live-fire behavior, hoseline advancement and nozzle control, and vehicle extrication. Each station provides an opportunity to work directly with instructors, equipment, and techniques applicable to real-world operations.
Training Stations
Thermal Imaging: Apply TIC data during suppression and search operations.
Fire Behavior: Experience a live-fire environment while learning about fire development, behavior, heat signatures, and thermal imaging cues.
Flow, Move & Take Control: Develop nozzle control and attack-line advancement skills with a focus on body positioning, water application, backup firefighter positioning, and movement.
Extrication Scenarios: Work through hands-on scenarios using AMKUS rescue tools.

HEN, Bullard, AMKUS, 3M Scott, FAST, LION, IDEX, Kuriyama, ESI-JYD, Groves Ready Rack, Streamlight, and Vanguard.

Participation Requirements
Must be 18 years or older
Must hold Firefighter I (FF1) certification
Must be an active member in good standing with a fire department
Must bring and wear full PPE, including SCBA, for all hands-on activities
Those who do not meet the participation requirements may attend only as observers.
